SALINES OF VILLENEUVE GETAWAY WITH « LES CYCLES DU TERROIR »

At only 15minutes of Montpellier, the noise of the wind and the singing of birds will cradle you when you pedal…Here, come many different types of birds species to nest and reproduce themselves. An easy, out-going getaway adapated to families.

From the twelfth century, those "salt marshes" were exploited by the bishopric of Maguelone then by the "Salins du Midi" after the french revolution.

Salines of Villeneuve Tour (adapted to families) : You borrow paths that border the salt marshes and according to the moment of the day, the light so changing, tints the colourful waters. Flamingoes, sea birds can be seen along the canals.

You can stop along the path and observ the time of flight of flamingoes… Salt marshes shine under the sun. It is at « Compagnons of Maguelone » that you are welcomed for a wine tasting very elegant and aromatic, born from noble grape varieties, for the pleasure of your palate.

Health measures COVID-19 : 10 meters of space between each bike, 1.5m between the bikes when stopped, garantee of desinfection of all the bikes and equipments (helmets) by my partner Cyrpéo, helmets are given, hydroalcoholic solution given, individual brand new canister and mineral water given. Tastings are possible on a case-by -case basis, depending on each domain.

A bike monitor guide is with you all the day long of your getaway in order to show you this bike wine adventure, and to be careful of your security and comfort.
Families circuits specially designed are proposed for the children (above 10 years old).
Appointment: Wine estate on your circuit which will be our starting point of departure and arrival : Abbaye de Villeneuve-les-Maguelone (contact me before your arrival to park).
Minimum of participants : 2 persons (in case of an insufficient number of participants, the getaway would be cancelled. You will be warned the day before by email).
Non-refundable and non-voidable.
Do not forget to bring some good shoes and your pic-nic.
You can order, by reservation, a ‘gourmant’ (greedy) pic-nic with one of our wine partners or reserve a local meal at the end of your getaway. You can also choose the wine that you’d like and we can carry it for you (not-included).
Bikes with electric assistance of last generation, security equipments, water canisters are being taking care of, and forwarded directly to the departure spot.
